Hildene, though it’s not Hildene anymore
I between bouts in the garage last weekend, I did get out to check out the new location for the annual Manchester car show, which everybody will probably call Hildene until the end of time, despite the fact that it moved away from Hildene this year.
The owners of the Dorr Farm, on the other side of Manchester, however, volunteered to host the show. In describing how to find the Dorr Farm, you only need to tell the visitor to keep an eye out for all the old tractors, a landmark of sorts in the town. For the show, the Dorr Farm owners relocated all the tractors to one side of the giant former potato field, giving ample room for the classic cars.
I was only too excited to see a Jubilee Ford tractor in that row. Love that design.
Got to the Hemmings tent just in time to help Fitzgerald unload the Project MG for display in the Good News Garage tent. It’s coming along nicely and will definitely make a nice prize for the lucky winner of the raffle we will hold for it.
After that, I roamed around some and spotted these Serro Scotty travel trailers toward the back of the field. I think some folks were still sleeping in them when I nabbed this shot.
